Art Forms :: Magicism :: App

Welcome!

Welcome to the studio of TheFactorium.ART

Let's start . . .

Step 1 :: Canvas

  1. Any characters other than lower case letters (a-z), upper case letters (A-Z), numbers (0-9), dashes(-), underscores (_), and periods (.) will be removed from the final filename.
  2. Only JPG and PNG files allowed.
  3. Maximum file size allowed is (0 Bytes).
  4. Provided images should be square. If an image is discovered to be rectangular, it will be AI rendered as a square.
  5. Preferably, use a high resolution image comparable in size to the desired magicism image. Resizing an image can often lead to a loss of quality, resulting in a blurry or pixelated appearance. This is because when you enlarge a raster image (like a JPG or PNG), software has to "guess" what color to make the new pixels based on surrounding ones, leading to a loss of detail and sharpness. Again, you can minimize the loss by (1) not resizing the Magicism Image too large, and (2) providing a high-resolution image. The higher the resolution, the greater the resolution of the Magicism Image.
How files are named. Your provided files are named as follows:

Provided File named as IDENT.FILENAME.EXT
Rendered Final File named as IDENT.FILENAME-magicized-XXXXXXX.EXT
Rendered Preview File named as IDENT.FILENAME-magicized-XXXXXXX-preview.EXT

Where IDENT identifies you as the one who provided the file.
Where FILENAME is the base name of the provided file.
Where XXXXXXX is the name of the conversion (e.g., as-oilpaintimage).
Where EXT is the file extension of the provided file (JPEG, JPG, or PNG).

File Upload / Fetch / Use, Preview, and Render disabled. You need to be registered and signed in. You can only preview the look (but not the feel) of the App.

Use one of your image files (provided or rendered).

If the Magicism Image is rotated incorrectly, you can correct by Rotating Image here to the desired orientation. This can happen when loading images from a mobile device, when the image is rotated 90°. Note that there is no 180° Left or Right. They are the same.

Adaptive Threshold Image enhance image contrast by dynamically separating foreground from background using adaptive thresholding. This method is particularly useful for enhancing the contrast of images, especially those with varying lighting conditions. By dynamically adjusting the threshold value based on the local mean of the pixel values within a specified window, it effectively separates the foreground from the background. This node is ideal for tasks such as edge detection, text recognition, and other image preprocessing steps where clear distinction between different regions of the image is crucial.

This parameter defines the width of the window used for calculating the local mean. The width can range from a minimum of 1 to a maximum of 500, with a default value of 50. Adjusting this value affects the granularity of the thresholding process.

This parameter specifies the height of the window used for calculating the local mean. Similar to the width, the height can range from 1 to 500, with a default value of 20. Modifying this value influences the local thresholding effect.

This parameter sets the offset value that is subtracted from the local mean to determine the threshold. The offset can range from 0.00 to 1024.00, with a default value of 0.2 and a step size of 0.01. Increasing the offset can make the thresholding more aggressive, while decreasing it can make it more conservative.
Negate Image negates image colors (also known as inverting colors), by reversing each color to its complementary color, making darks light and vice versa.

[Channel] option allows you to specify which color channel(s) to apply the negation effect to, rather than negating the entire image.

Alpha Channel is a fourth layer of data that specifies the transparency of each pixel in an image, ranging from fully transparent to fully opaque. In general, you see the image unaffected.

The [Gray Pixels Only] option means that only grayscale values within the image are negated. In the case of [All Pixels], all pixels (non-grayscale and grayscale) are negated.
Noise Image adds random noise to the image.

Oil Painting Sketch applies a special effect filter that simulates an oil painting. Brushstrokes are defined by radius.

The Radius parameter specifies the size of the circular neighborhood around each pixel. This radius determines the area from which the most frequent color is sampled to replace the original pixel's color, effectively simulating an oil painting effect. A larger radius creates a broader sampling area, resulting in a more generalized, blended appearance.

- A Radius of zero is recommended! A Radius of zero will cause the app to automatically select a suitable Radius for the effect. The app simulates an oil painting by replacing each pixel with the most frequent color within a defined circular region. With a Radius of zero, the app AI handles this selection, which can be useful for achieving a good balance of the effect without manually experimenting with different Radius values.

- The larger the Radius, the longer it takes to render the image.

- A small Radius will result in less blending and a finer, more detailed oil painting effect.

- A large Radius will cause more pixels to be averaged together, leading to a more abstract and generalized oil painting effect.
Swirl Image swirls the pixels about the center of the image, where degrees indicates the sweep of the arc through which each pixel is moved. You get a more dramatic effect as the degrees move from 1 to 360.

Step 4 :: Title

The maximum length of Title is 25 characters.. The Title expands on what you are expressing about the Subject to the viewer. Painting a picture is the goal. A picture is worth a thousand words, yes. But sometimes actual words can enhance the narrative of what you are conveying about the Subject to the viewer.

Title
Font size of Title in Bottom Border. Size will depend on image size and the length of Title. If you find that the Title runs off the image, either (1) decrease Font Size, and/or (2) increase Image Size, and/or (3) decrease Title length.
